The Cactus & Succulent Society of America is excited to announce the acquisition of an incredible collection of vintage cactus and succulent books from the estate of Bill Baker, a long-time California grower and hybridizer who was a highly regarded individual among many of our members. This generous donation includes rare and valuable titles, and we’re thrilled to offer them to our members through a series of auctions on eBay.
The current auction began on Sunday, Sunday, January 26th, and will end on Sunday, February 2nd at 3pm (Pacific Time). This auction included these sought-after titles:
- Genera et Species Plantarum Argentinarum, Volume 3 by Horatius R. Descole
- Arizona Flora by Thomas H. Kearney and Robert H. Peebles
- Bromeliads in the Brazilian Wilderness written by Elton M. Leme and photography by Luiz Claudio Marigo
- Cactaceae, with Illustrated Keys of all Tribes, Sub-tribes, and Genera by W. Taylor Marshall
The first auction began on Sunday, November 3rd, 2024.
More books will be available on our eBay channel at this link during auctions. CSSA will also auction some of the rarer and more distinctive books during our Biennial Convention.
