Spreading the word on Conservation

The CSSA funded a video series by Stefan Campbell addressing plant poaching, climate change, and habitat destruction. Also included were multilingual infographic posters displayed in Chilean national parks and at CSSA events.

The CSSA approved a Conservation Education grant for Stefan Campbell. Educational videos for social media including Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and YouTube. A mini series of approximately 5 videos covering the issues of plant poaching, habitat destruction, climate change and more. 

Printing and installation of infographic posters outlining the issue of poaching in Chile’s Pan de Azúcar and Llanos de Challe National Park Entry Offices. The poster illustrates the difference between field collected and nursery grown cacti. It was printed in three languages to cover the most widely spoken languages in the Americas and was reprinted in The Cactus and Succulent Journal Summer 2022. Also, the poster has been displayed at numerous CSSA events and has been provided to the Huntington Library and affiliate societies.
