About our Speakers

Jeremy Spath has traveled extensively in pursuit of Dudleyas in habitat.  He has a wonderful specialty plant nursery, Hidden Agave Nursery (HAN), along with Hidden Agave Laboratories (a tissue culture lab), located in Escondido, CA.  HAN produces unique Agave cultivars and introduces interesting Agave species, as well as other succulent plants to the market.

Kelly Griffin is a plant hybridizer for Altman Specialty Plants located in Vista, CA. While he has a penchant for finding and photographing succulent plant habitats in general, he has had a great interest in the mostly California genus of Dudleya.  Looking for Dudleyas in the field has been a constant passion for him going on four decades.  He is always striving to get that next great photo. Kelly is also a board member of CSSA and the San Diego Cactus & Succulent Society.

Dudleyas in the Wild with Kelly Griffin and Jeremy Spath

Jeremy and Kelly have recently finished collaborating on their new book, Dudleyas, which they co-authored along with Jeff Moore. The book is 300 plus pages of everything Dudleya, including over 1000 photos. In this webinar, Jeremy and Kelly discuss some of their more interesting adventures and observations. It also showcases some of their best habitat photos.

Their new book, Dudleyas, can be purchased by reaching out to either of them, Kelly Griffin or Jeremy Spath.
