Plant-of-the-Month (POM) activities are a long-standing tradition in many cactus and succulent societies. They bring members together to learn, share, and celebrate the diversity of our favorite plants—whether through show-and-tell or friendly competitions.
Until now, CSSA has provided POM Guidelines to help clubs structure their programs. But we’re excited to announce a brand-new resource:
👉 Downloadable descriptions of over 35 POM genera and other categories — now available on the Affiliate page of the CSSA website!
These descriptions are ready-to-use for your society’s POM selections, making it even easier to provide educational content at your meetings. And this is just the beginning—more plant descriptions will be added in the future to expand the library.
Whether your club is highlighting a genus, a growth form, or a fun category like variegates or miniatures, these resources will help make your POM activities more engaging and educational.
🔗 Visit the Affiliate page on our website to explore the POM Guidelines and download the new plant descriptions.
Let’s keep building excitement around cacti and succulents—one POM at a time!
